Das SLAM Valve aendert die funktionsweise der Matrix. Die Matrix kann mit einem 4ms FP und nur 80PSI schiessen. Aber lest selbst ;) .

I have been working on our new SLAM valve for the Matrix.
this is a new bolt for the gun that changes the way the gun's bolt functions.
Initial tests have the gun running at 80 psi.
This is with a Maxflow pressure set at 80 psi not the Trinity.
we also had the gun running effectively at a whopping 4 milliseconds forward time.
effieciency is only at 1500 shots for a 68 4500psi tank.
we should have this fixed by thursday.
I will keep you informed of our developements.

Ok this is what the new valve will do for the matrix.
First it will eliminate the reduction in shot count caused by changing the dip switches.
Second, it will help the Trinity regulator prevent ball breakage.
The regulator is far more adjustable with this bolt.
the bolt also gets rid of weak points so you should not break this bolt during play.
The bolt is also able to run at a far lower pressure then any other bolt offered.
Current prototypes are operating at 80 to 100 psi.

Ok I was working on the Slam valve today. We got the rate of fire up to that of the Matrix. I was firing the gun at 10 fp and 35 back
the gun was firing in the 278 to 286 range.
I have a valve adjustment I am hoping to get done thursday.
I want to drop the forward bolt pressure an additional 2 Lbs on the forward stroke. I am confident we can still debug the bolt by the end of the week.
We dropped the bolt's forward pressure by about 4 lbs today.
I still broke paint at a high rate of fire using a 9 volt revy.
I will tell you how it goes tomorrow.

I tried the new design today
the bolt ran effectively at a 10 ms forward time
155 psi runs the gun at 295 fps
110 psi keeps up to 255 fps
we did shot count trials.
with a forward pulse of 10 miliseconds and 850 psi of consumable air we got 287 shots at 300 fps.
with the traditional style of Matrix bolt, a longer forward time (used in cold weather or when Orings get sticky) will cause the gun to be less efficient.

when we ran our new bolt at 65 miliseconds forward time we got 285 shots for the same amount of air.

I will post bench test results for air consumption tomorrow.
thank you for your patience.

Ok, Kamikaze1 is absolutely correct.
Here are our refined test results.
We modified the bolt and the slam valve slightly
the result was as follows.
average shot speed of 297
lowest velocity was 292
and highest spike (there were only 3 )
at 302 fps
average shooting speed was 12 bps
forward time 10 ms back 35 ms
Number of shots per 4500 cold 68 cubic inch tank was 1660

as mensioned above, an increase in the forward dwell had little effect. (50 shots or so)

I have got to do 2 other tests with the bolt and slam valve (Just to satisfy my curiosity) and we will be into our first run.
